SOFT, FLEXIBLE HYALURONIC ACID FILLER
Belotero Balance® in Fort Myers
Subtle Facial Refinement Without the Overfilled Look
The smallest details can have a noticeable effect on how rested, refreshed, and balanced your face appears.
BELOTERO BALANCE® (+) is a prescription injectable dermal filler made with hyaluronic acid and 0.3% lidocaine. It is approved for correction of moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds, as well as volume augmentation to improve infraorbital hollows in adults over age 21. The lidocaine is included to help reduce discomfort during injection.
According to the manufacturer, BELOTERO BALANCE® has a soft, cohesive consistency that can spread smoothly and integrate with the skin. These properties are one reason a clinician may consider it when subtle correction and natural-looking movement are priorities. No single filler is right for every face, area, or aesthetic goal.
Why a NewU Provider May Recommend BELOTERO BALANCE®
Soft, Natural-Looking Integration
The filler’s cohesive, flexible gel properties may allow it to blend smoothly with appropriately selected tissue. This can make it an appealing option for patients seeking refinement rather than dramatic volume.
A Formulation With Lidocaine
BELOTERO BALANCE® (+) contains 0.3% lidocaine, a local anesthetic included to help reduce pain during injection. Individual comfort still varies, and additional comfort measures may be discussed when appropriate.
Personalized Correction
The amount and placement of filler should be based on facial anatomy, skin quality, the treatment area, previous filler, and the degree of correction desired. More product does not automatically create a better result.
An Option for Women and Men
Women and men may seek filler for different reasons, but treatment is not based on a standardized gender template. NewU considers each patient’s facial proportions, expression, structure, and personal preferences.
Part of a Broader Facial Plan
BELOTERO BALANCE® may be used by itself or incorporated into a broader plan involving other fillers, wrinkle relaxers, skin treatments, or medical-grade skincare when clinically appropriate.
What Can BELOTERO BALANCE® (+) Treat?
Under-Eye Hollows
Loss of volume between the lower eyelid and upper cheek can create a visible groove or shadow beneath the eyes. This area is often called the tear trough or infraorbital hollow.
BELOTERO BALANCE® (+) is approved for volume augmentation to improve infraorbital hollowing in adults over age 21. Thoughtful treatment may create a smoother transition between the lower eyelid and cheek, helping the under-eye area appear less hollow or shadowed.
Under-eye filler does not correct every cause of dark circles or a tired appearance. Pigmentation, visible blood vessels, skin quality, fluid retention, and prominent under-eye bags may require a different approach. Your NewU consultation will help determine whether hollowing is the primary concern and whether filler is appropriate.
Nasolabial Folds and Smile Lines
Nasolabial folds are the lines that extend from the sides of the nose toward the corners of the mouth. They are a normal part of facial anatomy, but they may become deeper as facial volume, skin elasticity, and support change over time.
BELOTERO BALANCE® (+) is approved for injection into the mid-to-deep dermis to correct moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds. Treatment is customized to soften the fold without attempting to remove all normal facial contour or expression.
What About Lip Lines and Other Facial Areas?
BELOTERO BALANCE® is sometimes discussed for other facial concerns. However, current U.S. labeling states that controlled clinical studies have not established its safety and effectiveness for contour concerns other than nasolabial folds and infraorbital hollows. Its safety and effectiveness in the lips have also not been evaluated. Any use outside the approved indications would be considered off-label and requires a separate, individualized discussion with a qualified clinician.
How Long Does BELOTERO BALANCE® Last?
The manufacturer reports that BELOTERO BALANCE® may improve nasolabial folds for approximately six months or longer. Duration varies based on the area treated, amount placed, facial movement, anatomy, metabolism, injection technique, and individual response.
Filler gradually diminishes over time. Some patients may choose maintenance treatment, while others prefer to allow the result to fade. Your NewU provider can recommend an appropriate follow-up plan based on your response rather than an automatic treatment schedule.
No filler result should be presented as permanent or guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is There Downtime After BELOTERO BALANCE®?
These reactions are often mild to moderate and frequently improve within several days, although they may last longer in some patients. Under-eye swelling or bruising may be especially noticeable because of the location.
For the first 12 to 24 hours, follow your provider’s instructions regarding touching or pressing on the area, makeup, strenuous activity, and alcohol. Excessive sun, heat, UV exposure, and extreme temperatures should be minimized until initial redness and swelling have resolved and the injection sites have healed—an especially relevant consideration in the Southwest Florida climate.
Medications such as aspirin, anti-inflammatory medications, anticoagulants, or other substances that affect bleeding may increase bruising. Do not stop a prescribed medication without guidance from the clinician who manages it.
How Long Does BELOTERO BALANCE® Last?
The product may improve nasolabial folds for approximately six months or more. Longevity varies based on the area treated, amount used, anatomy, metabolism, technique, and individual response.
BELOTERO BALANCE® vs. Wrinkle Relaxers
BELOTERO BALANCE® and wrinkle relaxers such as XEOMIN® address different contributors to facial aging.
BELOTERO BALANCE® is a hyaluronic acid filler. It adds volume within targeted tissue to improve hollows, folds, and certain contours.
Wrinkle relaxers temporarily reduce targeted muscle activity that contributes to dynamic expression lines, such as frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet.
One treatment does not replace the other. Some patients may benefit from filler, some from a wrinkle relaxer, and others from a carefully planned combination. The right choice depends on whether the concern is caused primarily by volume loss, muscle movement, skin quality, or a combination of factors.
How soon will I see results?
Some volume correction may be visible immediately, although swelling can temporarily affect the early appearance. The area should be reevaluated after initial swelling and bruising have settled. Individual results vary.
How Is BELOTERO BALANCE® Different From Other Fillers?
Dermal fillers vary in their formulation, firmness, elasticity, cohesivity, approved treatment areas, and intended depth of placement.
The manufacturer describes BELOTERO BALANCE® as having high cohesivity with relatively low viscosity and elasticity, allowing the gel to spread smoothly while maintaining its structure. These characteristics may make it suitable for selected areas where soft integration is important.
That does not mean BELOTERO BALANCE® is universally better, safer, or more natural than every other filler. NewU may recommend another product when greater structural support, projection, lifting capacity, or a different treatment indication is needed.
Does BELOTERO BALANCE® hurt?
Discomfort varies. BELOTERO BALANCE® (+) contains 0.3% lidocaine to help reduce injection pain. Your provider may discuss additional comfort measures when appropriate.
Can BELOTERO BALANCE® be dissolved?
A trained clinician may use hyaluronidase in some situations to break down hyaluronic acid filler. The response is not guaranteed, and suspected vascular complications require urgent medical management.
How Long is the Recovery Time for BELOTERO BALANCE®?
BELOTERO BALANCE® is FDA approved and undergone testing in a clinical study to demonstrate its safety. Common side effects include: mild irritation, swelling, itching, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site. These side effects typically resolve on their own. If any of these side effects persist for more than 7 days, contact NewU Wellness immediately.
