What is Microneedling?
The SkinPen® microneedling system is an FDA approved device used to improve acne scars and skin texture. The SkinPen® uses tiny needles to create micro injuries on the skin which stimulates the body’s natural healing process. The SkinPen® is safe, effective and requires little down time. Procedure
Prior to the procedure, skin is cleansed and numbing cream is applied to the treatment areas. Right after treatment, skin will be slightly pink to red. Common temporary treatment responses are peeling, dryness, burning, and rough skin.
Aftercare instructions and aftercare kits are provided following treatments.
Treatments
Three to six treatments spaced 4 weeks apart is recommended.
